Hyperaccumulators for Potentially Toxic Elements: A Scientometric Analysis

Phytoremediation is an effective and low-cost method for the remediation of soil contaminated by potentially toxic elements (metals metalloids) with hyperaccumulating plants. This study analyzed hyperaccumulator publications using data from Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) (1992–2020). We explored research status on this topic creating a series scientific maps VOSviewer, HistCite Pro, CiteSpace. The results showed that total number in field shows upward trend. Dr. Xiaoe Yang most productive researcher hyperaccumulators has broadest international collaboration network. Chinese Academy Sciences (China), Zhejiang University Florida (USA) are top three institutions field. China, USA, India countries. widely used journals were International Journal Phytoremediation, Environmental Pollution Research, Chemosphere. Co-occurrence citation analysis to identify influential In addition, possible knowledge gaps perspectives future studies also presented.
